Overview

The Design Manager will be responsible for managing the design process across various projects, ensuring alignment with client briefs, project objectives, and studio standards. This role requires strong leadership, creative oversight, and coordination skills to manage internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders while maintaining design quality, consistency, and timely delivery throughout all project stages.

WorkPanda is representing a leading architecture and interior design studio in Dubai seeking an experienced Design Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality design solutions.

The role involves leading multidisciplinary design teams across multiple projects from concept through detailed design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and present creative design concepts that align with project objectives and client expectations.
• Provide design direction and feedback to the team, fostering innovation and excellence  objectives are maintained.
• Oversees the preparation of Schematic and Detail Design drawings to ensure that they are complying with the Design intent.
• Oversees the preparation of Material Boards and the detailed specifications.
• Ensure that project documentation such as Minutes of Meetings, reports, presentations etc are done by other team members and saved in the right location.
• Conduct initial client consultation (kick off meetings) and assist the Clients in refining their brief and assign project objectives.
• Attend and lead regular client meetings and design presentations.
• Attend coordination meetings with other parties involved in the design.
• Regularly communicate with Clients to provide updates, address concerns and incorporate feedback.
• Serves as the daily contact for Client representatives or other consultants involved in the Project.
• Maintain good relationships with existing or previous Clients.
• Assist the Projects Director in leading department meetings.

• Strong ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams across multiple projects
  
• Proven capability to oversee the design process from concept through schematic, detailed design, and delivery
  
• Excellent creative judgement with a strong eye for design quality, consistency, and detail
  
• Ability to manage client relationships, lead presentations, and handle design coordination meetings confidently
  
• Strong coordination skills to align internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders with design intent
  
• Good understanding of material selection, specifications, and design documentation standards
• Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills to ensure timely and high-quality design delivery
