Overview

The Project Coordinator will play a key support role in project execution, working closely with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers. The position involves site inspections, technical coordination, review of drawings and materials, and support during tendering and contractor appointment stages to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with design intent, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the design team in proposing alternative materials, products, or solutions to address constraints and enhance project outcomes
  • Identify discrepancies between design intent and site execution and support the design team in resolving them
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with approved designs and quality standards
  • Perform factory inspections and review mock-ups to verify materials, finishes, and products meet design specifications
  • Review and approve shop drawings in line with design intent and project requirements
  • Assist the Senior Project Coordinator and Design Team in responding to RFIs
  • Act as the main point of contact for contractors and suppliers, ensuring coordination across disciplines including MEP and structural
  • Attend site visits with designers to explain discrepancies, site challenges, and execution constraints
  • Support tendering of interior design packages, bid reviews, and contractor coordination
  • Assist with client communication, walkthroughs, feedback collection, and securing design approvals
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, inspection records, specifications, and site-related reports
  • Perform on-site quality and safety checks, report incidents, and contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and industry updates

Job Requirements

  • Strong understanding of interior project coordination, site inspections, and execution processes
  • Ability to identify discrepancies between design intent and on-site work and coordinate resolutions
  • Experience reviewing and approving shop drawings, materials, finishes, and mock-ups
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and suppliers across disciplines
  • Strong support in tendering, RFIs, client walkthroughs, and design approvals
  • Excellent documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills for project delivery
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth project execution
