Overview

The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for leading the design development and execution of residential interior projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, design intent, and quality standards. The role involves close collaboration with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams, as well as site involvement to support successful design implementation during construction.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the development of space planning, furniture layouts, and interior configurations to ensure optimal functionality, flow, and aesthetics in line with the project brief.
• Present design concepts, design development stages, and progress updates to clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Select, specify, and coordinate materials, finishes, furniture, and furnishings that support the approved design concept, quality standards, and budget requirements.
• Assist the Design Manager in preparing and managing project cost sheets (private residential projects) and ensure adherence to approved budgets through effective value engineering.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams, including providing accurate information to the 3D Visualization team for visuals and animations.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor execution, ensure compliance with the design intent, and assist in resolving construction-stage issues or discrepancies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on design-related matters, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
• Lead and manage Interior Designers and Junior Interior Designers by assigning tasks, reviewing work, and ensuring design quality and project deadlines are met.
• Review, approve, and manage design drawings, documentation, meeting minutes, and file management in line with company quality processes and standards.
• Drive creative development through continuous research into design trends, materials, and furnishings, contributing to innovative and high-quality design outcomes.

• Experience selecting, specifying, and coordinating materials, finishes, furniture, and furnishings
  
• Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams, including 3D visualization teams
  
• Strong site involvement skills to monitor execution and resolve design or construction-stage issues
  
• Excellent leadership skills to manage Interior Designers and Junior Designers, ensuring design quality and meeting project deadlines
  
• Strong documentation and reporting skills, including drawings, meeting minutes, and file management
  
• Up-to-date knowledge of design trends, materials, and furnishings to drive innovative solutions
