Overview
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from design development through construction, commissioning, and final handover. The role involves managing programme, cost, quality, and risk, while acting as the key liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered in line with approved design intent, regulatory requirements, budgets, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, high-profile projects from design development through construction, commissioning, and final handover.
- Develop and manage detailed project programmes, milestones, and delivery schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, cost plans, and cash flows in line with approved financial targets.
- Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary consultants, contractors, and specialist teams across all project stages.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and authorities, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE regulations, statutory requirements, authority approvals, and project standards.
- Lead design coordination to maintain design intent, technical quality, and constructability.
- Monitor construction progress and quality to ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify project risks, constraints, and delays, implementing mitigation strategies to protect programme and budget.
- Review and manage variations, change requests, and claims in coordination with commercial teams.
- Resolve technical, contractual, and site-related issues efficiently to maintain project momentum.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports covering programme, cost, risk, and quality.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and correspondence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee commissioning, snagging, and handover processes to ensure smooth project completion.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven ability to manage projects from design development through construction, commissioning, and handover
- Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, authority approvals, and statutory requirements
- Excellent programme, cost, and risk management skills
- Strong leadership and coordination skills with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Ability to manage variations, resolve issues, and maintain project momentum
- Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills
